I think you can interpret tropes broadly? It could be another kind of stripping game! Or people trying to play strip poker who have no idea how to play poker could be funny (the one time I played strip poker we kept changing the rules every hand, on top of me not knowing how to play poker. It was very confusing).

For the longest time I didn't connect strip = taking off clothing (kinda like a strip mall doesn't involve stripping either, except maybe if you want to try on clothes).
