...instead I have been checking the news page on lj, hoping that they break the comments there. It's not so much drama as it is outrage: so far (though I haven't read them all), everyone seems to be screaming noooo at the top of their figurative lungs at the latest fiasco, and only a few trolls or people-in-complete-ignorance have been saying that the FB/Twitter connect is good (and they're getting dog-piled.)

If lj doesn't learn anything else, please let them learn what good customer service means--please talk to your userbase, so that the thousands of commenters don't get angrier and angrier as no one responds...


Other thought: anyone read Atlas Shrugged? Opinions?

haha ayn rand. I like the idea in the sense that: "hey, society does do some of this crap" but she's a terrible prose writer, so my conclusion was: "oh my God when will John Galt just shut up?!" and I'm terrified of her fans.

There's a whole bunch of polls all voting in the "make it go away!" vein. (And they're at 9991 comments. Even if lj pays no attention, this will be my consolation: the commenters have broken the comments limit. :D)

What happened with her fans? As far as I can tell (I read Anthem some time ago) she seems very heavy on the anvils-used-as-morals front, which I didn't realize until I finished reading.

err her fans are very scary people. most of them are the OMG ALTRUISM IS TEH EVUL type (they took those anvils too bloody seriously!). I feel like just locking them up in their own little country, leaving them no contact with the outside world and letting them do everything themselves, and then send a radio in winter (I'm not that heartless).
