sewn coasters!

I made coasters! Since I previously bought a whole packet of embroidery floss and I've never used up my embroidery floss, I just used all six strands. I used up one whole light-brown skein (8 m)!

Those are great. Is it just regular felt, or is it stiffened in some way?

I bought whatever was at the art store, which I think was made of recycled plastic? It felt quite felt-y but was less soft/bendy than the felt I remember as a child. I think either type would work though. It just needs to be flat and sorta absorbent.

Thank you! I have lots of acrylic felt which is fairly soft/bendy — I might try this with three layers instead of two.
