Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell reading!
Mar. 26th, 2014 11:27 pmI'll put up a post every Sunday, I think! I make no promises on the time though; I'm so bad at that but I'll try to aim for morning (Eastern Standard Time or whatever idiocy we're currently on, Daylight Savings Eastern Time??)
To the people on my flist who are not interested, and because this will be a recurring thing--I am very sorry! On LJ I have tagged these entries "js&mn book club" so you can modify your friend settings re: me and choose not to see any posts with the tag. (Go to "modify friends" on my profile, select "exclude tag"). ETA:
nou has pointed out that DW does have nifty similar features! Go to http://www.dreamwidth.org/manage/subscriptions/filters, select a filter, and exclude/include tags! (Among other things, if you have a paid journal.)
Chapter 1-4 for March 30, then! ("The Library at Hurtfew" to "The Friends of English Magic")And I will reply to comments for as long as the conversation goes on generally, so if you can't finish by Sunday or conked out or whatever, I'm happy to talk about it with you on Friday.

Date: Mar. 27th, 2014 09:37 am (UTC)On Dreamwidth, you can exclude tags by going to the Manage Subscription Filters page, choosing the relevant filter in the drop-down, and clicking on the person's name. This will give you options to show only content where the entry is tagged with any/all/none of the tags you select.

Date: Apr. 9th, 2014 03:49 am (UTC)but yeah no I have been on and off the face of the internet (except for uh memeing at work and promising recslists that never materialize) for a while now. I moved... two weeks ago? three? anyway almost everything's still boxed up, even I am surprised at how many books I have 0_o. I would have been totally happy to be bothered but I am not insulted that you didn't, just happy that this is a thing that is happening!

Seriously one of the reasons I hate buying books is because I moved a lot as a kid and even now and the heaviest thing in the world is a box of books, no joke. Having everything in boxes sucks too, eww.
Comment when you've got time! No rush :)
