silverflight8: stacked old books (books)

I'm rereading JS&MN at the moment (Norrell's running about with Drawlight in London; I'm not far in.) I wonder if there are enough JSMN fans on my flist to do a read along? Does anyone want to do a read along? There are about seventy chapters, so I could put up a post each week for chapters 1-5, or something. The details that are packed into footnotes means that any review or discussion I have of these books pretty much covers 1% of the novel.

(I'm totally fine with any of you guys spreading this/people dropping in to chat, and I'm happy to do it even if only one other person wants to. I really love this book.)

Oh - I'm not sure I'm in the mood to read JSMN at the moment, when I have several other books I'm looking forward to reading. But you could let people know with a post in [community profile] readingtogether and hopefully find company.

(Here via... someone on dwircle. I found this tab open hours later.)

I'm interested, though I don't know if I'll have time to comment on your posts as well as read them. But I would like to read them! (Here via [personal profile] spiralsheep.)

Per the subject-line, I'm interested but afraid to commit. I have the book but have never found/made the time to read it. Can you offer a date for the first post?

I have never read this book - though a copy lives on my kindle - and I was pondering it as one of the possibilities for the " >500 pages" square of the reading bingo game I am taking way too seriously. Maybe this is a sign?

I've owned the book for a really long time (bought it at a book fair back in 2009), but I've never gotten around to reading it. I probably should! And if there's discussion involved, then I am always interested.
