I like them both too! I feel like there are so many good secondary/tertiary characters in the series, you really get to like them.

I suppose Gregor had the advantage in that he conducted a normal courtship. Half of the trouble with the disaster ones is that one or both don't even realize dating is happening, lol. Also, Alys Vorpatril was helping him. Can't discount that. She was preparing the ground!!
