Writer's Block: Time traveler

Hmm...maybe the Classical Athens of about 400 BC (no, that's not a decade, but still...), possibly the gritty, harsh life of the Dark Ages--of the British Isles, of course--or the Tudor period, though that's got its dangers, or maybe the Regency, just so that I can see if those historical romance writers (why must they always write in that period??) are right or not. I think, from a 21st century perspective, that it'd be really "cool" to live there, but I think that as much as I "wish" I could visit, I don't think I'd enjoy living there. I like my rights and freedoms, thank you very much. And I'd go alone. Some of those times were very dangerous, especially when it came to those doctors. *shudders*
